The Nominations Committee:
Karen Crowder
shall prepare a slate that optimally consists of at least two nominees for each office to be filled each year
and submit the slate to the Board of Directors as directed in Article VI – Elections. The committee shall consist
of at least three (3) FNPN full members in good standing, who are not members of the Board of Directors, elected by the membership
during the regular election process in odd numbered years. The Chair shall be the individual on the ballot for the Nominations
Committee with the greatest number of votes. If there is a tie for the position of Chair, the decision shall be made
by secret ballot of the Board of Directors. The term of office for the Chair and committee members shall be two years.
In the event a vacancy occurs in any position of the committee, including the Chair, the vacancy shall be filled for the remainder
of the term by a majority vote of the remaining members of the committee. The Chair and members of the committee shall
not be eligible for nomination for any elected position while serving on the committee.
The Newsletter and Web
Site Committee:
Chris Saslo
shall
advise on general membership communications through newsletter, e-mail, web site and other forms of communication.
Media and PR Committee:
Pat Quigley
shall advise on public relations and marketing activities for the
organization.
Education and Conference
Committee:
Janet Dubois
shall advise on promotions
& standards of education for NPs and shall advise on the development of conferrences sponsored by FNPN. The committee
shall maintain a laison with the committee on Practice & Research
Practice and Research:
Open
shall advise on implementation
of standards of practice for NPs and shall advise on ways to promote and support research for NPs in their delivery of health
care.
Membership Committee:
Cindy Parsons
shall advise on ways
to increase adn maintain members
The Health Policy Committee:
Elizabeth Markovich
shall advise on legal and legislative issues of importance to nurse practitioners.
The Fund Raising Committee:
Jean Aertker
shall advise on drives for funds for member needs.
The
Awards Committee:
Pat
Quigley
shall advise on promoting excellence in practice, education, &
policy & research through recognition.
